One of my longtime favorite artists, Mr. F Scott Hess, is now on tumblr discussing individual pieces. It’s incredible seeing how the work evolves from sketches into the finished pieces that they are. I feel it somehow gives me hope that with perseverance, I can learn to harness a similar process with my own work. The paintings begin as ideas sketched out and then take form, and that process feels so natural that it makes me feel encouraged to find my own way.
